This workshop features ten tips on how to use youTube videos, films, radio broadcasts, songs and other sources effectively in order to build up your repertoire of everyday or academic English vocabulary. Participants will gain hands-on experience in applying these tips to short listening samples from a variety of sources. They will have a chance to take notes, test their listening comprehension and look up hard-to-spell words in an online dictionary.

Do you feel that you always use the same types of sentences in your writing? Do you feel that your writing is often repetitive? In this workshop, we will discuss various sentence structures that you can use to make your writing more unique, and some ways to modify the structures that you already use to vary your sentences even further.
