Volunteering in Irvine

My name is Amy Swanson, UCI alum and former IPG Mentor (2016-2017).  I’m currently the Volunteer Coordinator for South County Outreach, a nonprofit organization in Irvine dedicated to preventing hunger and homelessness. We offer services to low-income and homeless families in the area. We have a Food Pantry, Rental & Utility Assistance Program, Transitional Housing Program, and Computer Learning Lab.  South County Outreach is a great place to volunteer!   We are open Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 4:00pm for volunteering in the Food Pantry. Volunteers can spend 2-3 hours helping us sort through food donations and keep the pantry shelves stocked and organized. If anyone is interested in scheduling a time to volunteer, send me an email at

Congratulations Fashion Interest Group / ISEP fashion show

ISEP would like to congratulate our IPG Mentors and Coords for their participation in the Fashion Interest Group / ISEP fashion show, which was held on Friday May 19, 2017.

We would specifically like to recognize Will Xie, Rey Luo, and Stacey She for serving as designers, models, and organizers of the event.

All of the designs were spectacular! Stacy was a beautiful model, Rey showcased his original designs and did the make-up for himself and his models, and Will’s designs (pictured) won first place! Congratulations to each of you for your impressive accomplishment.

We would also like to thank our IPG / ISEP staff members who boothed at the event, Nobelle Lintag, Prad Tantiwuttipong, and Saira Shah.  Please join me in congratulating our wonderful staff!
