IPG Meet & Greet

IPG Scholars and their Mentors will meet for the first time during our Meet & Greet! IPG Scholars have the chance to learn about the benefits of participating in IPG, and will interact with their Mentor and members of their IPG family. Scholars will also get to hear about their “next steps” for IPG this year.
IPG Campus Tours
Friday, September 20, 2019 (ISPOP Week)
Meet by the UCI flagpoles (in front of Aldrich Hall)
IPG Scholars are invited to tour campus and see the buildings where their Fall Quarter classes will be conducted. IPG Scholars should send class schedules to their IPG Mentor before Friday, September 20 so Mentors can organize a custom walking tour of campus for their scholars. These tours are small so questions can be answered by Mentors. Our tours will end in Aldrich Park where International Center is hosting their Welcome Picnic. IPG Scholars and staff are invited to eat together at the picnic.

IPG Beach Clean Up

Buses leave UCI at 10:00 AM
Buses leave HB State Beach at 1:00 PM
IPG invites you to a fun and meaningful community service event at the beach. IPG Scholars and staff will be cleaning litter at Huntington State Beach on a Saturday morning. Clean up supplies and a catered lunch will be provided. Sign-ups and a $5 deposit are both required. Sign-up is coming soon!
Insider Tips for International Student Success

This workshop is a great opportunity to get academic success tips from faculty and high achieving UCI students. Learn how to navigate the academic culture at UCI and make the most of each quarter. You will meet other international students and speak with our student and faculty panelists.
IPG Winter Holidays Celebration

Learn about common U.S. Winter holidays and celebrate the season with creative crafts and games at the I-Lounge. Dinner will be provided to guests. Wear your holiday sweater for a chance to win prizes.

Graduate School Information Night for International Students

Join our round table discussion and hear from faculty and currents students about what to do now to make yourself competitive for graduate school admissions. Learn about the admissions process, funding opportunities and what it is like to be an international graduate student. The round table format will give you the opportunity to ask questions and learn from our tables of experts. The workshop will include information relevant to all class levels, so first year students are encouraged to attend!

Fighting Sexual Assault Together

Bring a friend to this important event and:
- Learn how culture/social stigma can affect how we view harassment/assault and how to help friends understand it is not their fault
- Learn what you can do to help your friends and our community combat sexual assault
- Learn why speaking up when you see something can help protect others (and how to do it)
- Learn how local laws and campus policies can support us all in the fight against sexual assault
- Learn about issues related to student health and safety on campus and in the community
This event is co-hosted by IC, ISEP, Student Wellness & Health Promotion, and CARE.
Saturday, April 13, 2019 (Week 2)
Corona Del Mar Beach
Join us as we head to CDM to play games on the sand, eat dinner, and watch the sunset. Bus transportation and dinner will be provided. Our bus will board at UCI flagpoles at 5:15 pm and return to campus by 8:00 pm. Limit = 50 students. Sign up is required! Please be sure to bring a towel to sit on, a bottle of water to drink, and warm clothes because the weather will get cool that evening. Photos of Beach Bonfire
