As part of the Intercultural Citizenship branch of ISEP, our goal is to have open conversations in a safe space about the similarities and differences in cultures across the world. We will engage in conversations ranging in topics from food security to mental health.

Global Viewpoint Lounge, Student Center ISEP’s Global Scholars program presents Speaker Series, a quarterly series meant to create an open discussion about achieving academic excellence and maintaining student success at UCI.Our first Speaker Series of the school year will focus on one question: What does it take to be a successful international student at UCI?

Guest Speaker Dr. Yong Chen , an international student at Cornell University, and now Professor of History at UCI, will be sharing his own background as an international student in the U.S., his tips on excelling in your classes and getting involved in research, and will talk about finding your passion at UCI.
