IPG Coordinators
Coordinators (Coords) play an administrative role in helping to train, supervise, and motivate IPG Mentors. They act as liaisons between Mentors and professional staff and are often called upon to help guide IPG Scholars.

IPG Mentors 2022-2023
Mentors help IPG Scholars identify and utilize the campus and community resources necessary for academic and social success at UCI. In addition, they build strong relationships with their first-year mentees through small group activities and one-on-one meetings. Mentors collaborate with fellow ISEP student leaders on various activities throughout the year to create an educational and welcoming environment.

Global Leaders Peer Research Advisors 2022-2023

Crysta Hu, M.Ed., PPS
Program Coordinator
International Peer Group (IPG) Scholars Program
Crysta has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Cal Poly Pomona and a Masters of Education in School Counseling from the University of Southern California. She has experience working with and counseling the K-12th population, and has always been passionate about working with students. She believes in empowering students and helping to promote their emotional, academic, and professional success. She also has experience working at a non-profit in Orange County, serving the AAPI community and individuals with mild to severe mental health struggles. Being born in another country and being a daughter of immigrant parents, Crysta understands the challenges and barriers immigrants and international students face, which drives her passion to work within the International Excellence Student Programs (ISEP). She is excited to serve as the International Peer Group (IPG) Coordinator under Student Success Initiatives (SSI) at UCI. In her free time, Crysta loves to eat, listen to music, watch TV shows and movies, travel to national parks, and spend time with family and friends.
Sei Young Lee, Ph.D.
Program Director
International Student Excellence Program (ISEP)
Sei graduated from Claremont Graduate University and earned her PhD in Higher Education. She has previously taught in the Program in Academic English and Composition Program at UCI for the past five years. She is interested in and very passionate about helping multilingual students with all aspects of their experience in the US. As a bilingual herself, she hopes to make each student included and engaged in the campus community irrespective of their language and cultural backgrounds. Sei enjoys cooking, spending time with her family including two furry animals, being outdoors and doing Californian activities, and eating Asian food.
