Fall: Adjustment – Get to know mentees and help them deal with culture shock. – Answer questions to help mentees learn about UCI. – Organize events to introduce mentees to new people and places at and around UCI. |

| Winter: Development – Encourage mentees to think about and discuss career options and plans. – provide opportunities for mentees to expand professional and social networks. – Hold resume and job application workshops, mock interviews, and networking receptions. |

Spring: Engagement – Introduce mentees to clubs and organizations (both on and off-campus). – Involve mentees in civic and community engagement activities. – Help prepare mentees for transition to their sophomore year. |
