Lunar New Year Photo Contest
To celebrate the upcoming Year of the Rooster, the International Student Excellence Programs is launching its first Lunar New Year Photo Contest. ISEP invites you to share photos of your Lunar New Year celebrations and reflections on what the Lunar New Year means to you.
How to Enter
- Submit your high-resolution image/s to isep-due@uci.edu with the subject line “Lunar New Year Photo Contest Submission.”
- Submission deadline: January 19, 2017 at 5:00 pm.
Prizes
- 1st place: 2 tickets to Knott’s Berry Farm ($150 value)
- 2nd place: $50 gift card to Din Tai Fung restaurant
- 3rd place: $25 gift card to The Hill
Contest Rules
- Eligibility: All currently enrolled UC Irvine students are eligible to enter the contest.
- Photos: Each student may submit up to two entries. Edited or digitally enhanced photos are eligible. Photos must be the original work of the student submitting them. Please include a 3-7 sentence description of the photo and location, including a reflection of how the photo relates to the theme. To avoid any misunderstanding, and out of respect, if your photo will show a person’s face, we strongly suggest you ask permission of the subject first.
- Prints: The prints of the winning photos will be displayed at ISEP’s Lunar New Year Celebration on January 26, 2017.
- Judging: A panel of judges will select the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners based on the criteria of interpretation of the theme, creativity, originality, and artistic expression. Winners will be notified by email and presented at ISEP’s Lunar New Year Celebration.
